The Sevens Stadium

Permanent roles:

Events and Leisure Facilities Coordinator

Prepare, update and maintain the promotional programmes of the stadium and provide effective administrative and operational support, to grow the facilities diverse leisure facility worldwide.

Job Accountabilities

1. Coordinate with Emirates to manage, protect, develop and expand the stadium’s brand across all customer points.
2. Responsible for the preparation, updates and management of the stadium website, including the ongoing inclusion of new material and overall improvement to the effectiveness of the website.
3. The day to day management of the stadium’s social media activities ensuring regular, relevant, interesting and engaging material is posted to attract current and prospective clients.
4. Initiate programmes to promote the stadium to the local, regional and international sporting and leisure market.
5. Support the administrative tasks to assist the day to day operation of the stadium and that all reporting deadlines are met at all times.
6. Assist with specific events management contracts, including the preparation and maintenance of operational and financial records pre, during and post events.
7. Liaise with internal company departments and external suppliers and clients to ensure projects and events are successfully managed to meet the involved parties goals and expectations.
8. Evaluate, measure and report the impact and effectiveness of specific promotional project/s to activate and drive continuous improvement of the department.
9. Whilst working to a staff rotating roster, carry out the responsibilities of a stadium duty manager, including the receipt of and confirmation of stadium hire requests and the supervision and support of stadium clients, during their specific hire of the facility.
10. Assist with the Dubai Rugby Sevens as required, prior to, during and post tournament.

Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens 2019

at The Sevens Stadium

The following roles are all temporary positions are associated with the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens tournament.

Accreditation/Registration Assistant

Assisting the Accreditation/Registration Manager with processing the Invitation Tournament players’ accreditation, this supporting role is integral to ensuring all participants are eligible to play and receive the correct accreditation prior to the start of the tournament. Working methodically and to deadlines is essential to the success of this post. Being able to work under pressure is also important. The post holder will also assist with operating the Registration Tent and managing the volunteers during the tournament weekend. Providing administrative support and assisting with other tournament related duties will also be required. An individual with a flexible approach to duties and working hours would be well suited to this position. Having an interest in rugby or a background in sport would also be a benefit.

As the Stadium is 40km from Dubai the post-holder must hold a valid driver’s license and will be required to provide their own transport.

Hours of work: 42 hours per week. This will increase as the tournament approaches and during the tournament weekend.

Commencement: Monday 4th November – Sunday 8th December 2019

Contract Duration: 5 weeks

Office Administrator

Assisting with Tournament related administrative support the post-holder will be a vital addition to the team. The individual needs to have a flexible attitude to work and will undertake a wide variety of duties. Being computer literate is essential as is being organized and able to manage workload appropriately. Previous event experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

As the Stadium is 40km from Dubai the post-holder must hold a valid driver’s license and will be required to provide their own transport.

Hours of work: 42 hours per week. This will increase in the build up to and during the tournament weekend.

Commencement: Sunday 27th October Thursday 12th December 2019

Contract Duration: 7 weeks

Hotel Office Assistant (x2)

These roles provide support and assistance in the Hotel Office at the team hotels. There will be occasions when one will be required to work alone in the office and handle enquiries professionally and diligently. An individual used to working with professional athletes or in a demanding position would be suited to this role. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential as is ensuring problems are solved swiftly and with minimal fuss. Post-holder must hold a valid driver’s license and provide own transport.

Hours of work: to be confirmed and will include split shifts.

Commencement: Thursday 28th November – Sunday 8th December 2019

Contract Duration: 11 days
